Officers and staff of HSBC Brunei celebrated their Hari Raya together with students and staff of Pusat Ehsan last Friday at multi-purpose hall. The celebration was organized by HSBC as a part of their corporate community responsibilty.
From the speech of Dk Hamidah Pg Othman, Senior PFS Sales and Support Manager of HSBC Brunei, she mentioned that "HSBC have always been active in contributing to the community as a part of our corporate sustainability strategy and this issue is close to the heart of every staff". She also added that "The celebration became possible through generous effort of HSBC BSB Branch headed by Dyg Rohaini Salleh. HSBC employees were given 10 ketupats each day to sell to our customers to raise a fund for Pusat Ehsan" With the overwhelming support of every customers, the HSBC BSB Branch manage to raised B$1,730.69, much more than their targeted amount. "We hope that this funds will contribute in making the festivity a meanigful one for both the children and staff of Pusat Ehsan" she continued.
During the celebration HSBC provided and shared sumptuous raya delicacies with students of Pusat Ehsan and prepared performances to entertain the students. Also, at the end of the ceremony, Pusat Ehsan students were given duit raya.
Receiving the raised funds on behalf of centre was Pusat Ehsan Senior Trustee, Dato Paduka Mohd Alimin Abd Wahab. He express his appreciation to the contiuned generous effort and contribution of HSBC Brunei to all people with special needs.
HSBC is one of the major corporate supporter of Pusat Ehsan, in the effort of giving quality care for people with special needs. In addition, HSBC participated and contributed to recent charity events that Pusat Ehsan organized, among these are Pusat Ehsan Charity Bazaar and Pusat Ehsan Charity Golf Tournament.
