NBT Brunei recently organized Toyota Classics concert featuring talented repertoire of the Vienna Operetta Orchestra under the baton of founding conductor Mr. Siegfried Andraschek.
NBT Managing Director, Mr Ninan Chacko thanked Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Pte Ltd and numerous goverment agencies for making the Toyota Classics a success and meaningful to charity organizations. The proceed went to charity and was presented by Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah, who was the Guest of Honour.
An amount of 90,000 was collected from the concert and Pusat Ehsan was among the three charitable institutions that received the generous donation. Senior Trustee Dato Paduka Mohd Alimin received the cheque on behalf of the centre. In his message Dato Alimin writes, "If charity is a window of service, this evening's function should offer us innumerable sights beyond sights that cannot but not humble us before His eyes. Who can deny your deed of charity? And what is in name?", he also added "on this joyous occasion, let us celebrate the spirit of charity that is Toyota Classics. Thanks on behalf of our special people to whom this function is partly dedicated. Thanks for having us as a part of this noble enterprise".
The Toyota Classics audience mesmerized themselves with authentic Viennese talents spearheaded by brillant tenor Mr. Michael Suttner and soprano vocalist Izabeta Labuda. The Vienna Operetta Orchestra engaged in various genre that includes the world renown classical music penned by Austrian great master Johann Sebastian Strauss and Franz Lehar. The concert also features the crowd favourite Malaysian singer, Amy Mastura.
