As the Health Services under the Ministry of Health pursue its effort in public education campaign towards patients with high risk for influenza to get vaccinated, Pusat Ehsan joined its effort to conduct vaccination for people with special needs at the centre. A total of forty eight individuals including the centre's allied health professionals were vaccinated on May 21. Pusat Ehsan acknowledges the imperativeness to offer anti-viral therapy for patient and children with underlying risk condition such as cerebral palsy, epilepsy, intellectual disability and other weakened immune system. Pusat Ehsan was also privilege to see the support from the Ministry of Health as it conducted the first and the only out clinic-base vaccination programme in the country. Coordinated and lead by Dr Ong Sok King with the group of accommodating nurses and paramedic personnel, the team upon receiving the consent and health declaration from the client, courteously answered any queries to clarify some misinformation before the clients received the vaccine. Dr Ong also pointed out as the Ministry is pursuing its campaign to H1N1 vaccination, it is also equally important to maintain and practice good hygiene at all time.
