  • Children and adults with disabilities and their families constantly experience barriers to the enjoyment of inclusion in society. Their abilities are overlooked, their capacities are underestimated and their needs are given low priority. Yet, the barriers they face are more frequently as a result of the environment in which they live than a result of their impairement.

  • A widespread underestimation of the abilities and potentials of children and adults with disabilities creates vicious cycle of under expectation, underachievement and low priority in allocation of resources. • Building capacity among health and rehabilitation within the organization.

  • Fostering multisectoral network and partnership in prevention of disability and or to impede complications of disability.
The Physical Rehabilitation Unit should also initiate the belief within the organization that person with disabilities is not only an object of charity but a subject of medical treatment ,social protection, rights to attain basic living skills and the rights of being a productive member of society.
The unit must also focused on the rights of individuals with disabilities. With this, the Pusat Ehsan Physical Rehabilitation Unit embraces the General Principles of Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
